New agreement between Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH and MTSA Technopower B.V.
Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH, a fuel cell specialist based in Puchheim near Munich, Germany, has reached a 50:50 agreement with MTSA Technopower B.V. of Arnhem, the Netherlands, to design, manufacture and sell large power systems based on hydrogen fuel cell stacks between 0.5 MW and 10 MW. Both companies have complementary experience in the manufacturing of fuel cell stacks, in the integration of electrolyser stacks and in fuel cell stacks for the production of technology solutions with up to 10 MW in container systems.
These systems are used in power-to-power applications for peak load in industrial or residential areas, as gas-to-power primary power supply for industrial plants and marine propulsion, and also as energy sources in remote areas. Proton Motor Managing Director Dr Faiz Nahab commented, “We are very excited about this project which will provide electricity from clean, renewable or recycled hydrogen. The systems will contribute to a cleaner environment in the energy transition and beyond.” Both companies can accept orders for such units immediately. The design and engineering of customer applications are provided to clients as part of the package.
